Wintrust is proud to announce the expansion of its Commercial Banking team with the hire of Dan Diehl as Group Senior Vice President & Division Manager for Wintrust Indiana. Dan will provide customized solutions to meet the needs of middle market businesses, such as working capital lines of credit, term loans to purchase equipment or commercial real estate, M&A financing, general treasury management, and foreign exchange services. Dan will also be charged with expanding and managing the Indianapolis-based commercial banking team.

We believe this move will not only help expand our traditional commercial banking services but will also create the same level of community and relationship-based banking our clients are accustomed to.”

Diehl began his banking career in 2005, focusing on middle-market relationship management and credit underwriting duties.  Additionally, Diehl fulfilled his entrepreneurial goals by acquiring, growing, optimizing, and selling a niche welding business within the middle market space, ultimately returning to commercial banking in a leadership role with one of the largest regional banks in the Midwest before taking on this role with Wintrust.

Diehl is active in the community, serving on the United Way of Central Indiana Board of Directors and in his local church and swim club. He has been awarded the Best & Brightest in Financial Services by Junior Achievement of Central Indiana and was also named to the 2023 40 Under Forty Class by the Indianapolis Business Journal.

Throughout the next several quarters, Wintrust will continue its expansion into Indianapolis by adding to Dan’s team. In addition to Indianapolis, Wintrust has established commercial banking teams in Denver, Minneapolis, and Ohio.
